Every time I pass by this house, I want to tidy it up and finish it. Put back the small roof on the tower, replace (or maybe restore) the wooden paneling on the bay window and roof cornices, change those unsuitable UPVC windows, make the front entrance noticeable, bring back to life the porch with a canopy and the terrace above it in the backyard …
But the main thing is not to change or rebuild anything, but only to finish. Because this house itself is already perfect. Beautiful shape, correct dimensions and proportions, all elements in their place. And all this together gives it a unique charm and color.
It’s nice to imagine that this was once a beautiful peasant estate, with a road winding through the forest, an adjacent spacious plot, some buildings and farmsteads. And then the city came here and the estate simply got lost.
